Sacrifice is theohly way the humans can imitate the interior life of the Trinity.

We all have a sense of what a natural life is. We eat becasue were hungry. We call friends for companionship or get married. We are safe to decrease the the odds of dying in an "accident." We do many things to secure our natural life in fear of causing unnecessary financial, physical or relational pains. Some get a nose job, some of us exercise, and others commit diligently towards there careers. So with all this buy-in, if someone were to ask you to give it up or threaten to take it away, what would you do? The answer is obvious. With all this commitment, there is alot of fear, a great loss so to speak. But what about our "supernatural life?" How many of us are afraid of losing that place in-christ. How many of us have given a tenth of the energy spent on our natural life towards our covenant(relationship) with God? No wonder we dont pray enough, we dont sacrifice enough or give enough. If we dont have a supernatural love faith or hope towards God, than theres not much to keep us coming back. In the old testament, all the great patriarchs gave an unblemished object. It was expensive and showed a financial or familial sacrifice. In order to give such a sacrifice, we need love faith and hope. God promises all of these and more but we dont really have trust in the supernatural because we havent put in, only in what we can control wich is the natural life. It's tangeable, i've done it, i see the end result. It's a pride. Imagine being limited by what you have only seen with your eyes? Thats where most of us are. We are only limited by our pride. But God has done it. He has triumphed and endowed as as sons and daughters. We are his people. He gave us the example of the Blessed Mother, "May it be done to me according to your word."
