Tolerance ?

Tolerance-1. The capacity for respecting the beliefs or practices of others. 2. Leeway for variation from a standard.

What about patience as a virtue? Being patient with a homosexual or drunk that they will one day see the error of their ways? I believe in being patient but "respecting" homosexuality i dont. Our culture is not tolerant of men having sex with 15 y/o girls and other cultures are o.k. with it. If we allow culture to authoritatively and with finality to decide whats tolerant and what isnt, than there is no such thing as o.k, not o.k.. There is just a state of being because than you become intolerant the second you pass "any" judgement on "any" action. Eventually there is nothingness. You have no room to say to the person who's stealing your car, "hey stop." Or, hitler, you were wrong. But we know thats not true. We have feelings. We have the ten commandments written on our hearts that tell is when something is wrong. When something is wrong or right. So our behaviors are either moral or immoral and the culture as a measuring tool leads to nothingness, just a state of being. So technically the ones who get to decide are the ones who have been at it since the beginning. Those who study the art of wrong and right, the fullness of that body would be the Catholic Church, and the Catholic Church alone. 3...2......1.....Slam Dunk Baby, GAME OVER!
